The adjustable-angle design of this in-hull / shoot-through transducer by Garmin ensures the beam is vertically oriented for maximum echo returns and the best possible performance. The clean hull exterior is the perfect solution for rigid inflatable boats (RIBS) and racing sailboats.
Garmins adjustable 600-watt shoot-thru transducer is a P79 Airmar Housing Style in-hull transducer which easily adjusts to hull deadrise angles up to 22 ensuring that the beam is vertical. This results in excellent echo returns and accurate depth readings. The 6-pin 600 W adjustable transducer has a depth of 800 to 1,200 ft with an operating frequency of 50 to 200 kHz and a beamwidth of 45 to 12 degrees.
Unlike "puck" type transducers, the Airmar P79 style adjustable transducer attaches with a turn twist lock to a base that is bonded to the hull and filled with liquid. The sound waves travel more efficiently through the liquid providing the best possible performance.
Features of the Adjustable In-Hull / Shoot-Thru Transducer:
Max Power: 600 W (6-pin)
Frequency: 200/50 kHz
Beam Angles: 200 kHz 11 50 kHz 45
Airmar P79 housing style in-hull transducer
No holes to drill
Easily adjusts to any deadrise angle from 2 to 22 degrees
Transmits sound waves directly at the bottom so strong echoes are reflected back to the transducer
Recommended for solid fiberglass hulls and aluminum hulls under 0.38 mm (0.150?) thick
Recommended for planning hull power boats, trailered boats, rigid inflatable boats (RIBS), and racing sailboats
No hull protrusions
Only the base piece is bonded to the hull. There is no adhesive layer under the transducer face to absorb sound energy
Simplifies in-hull installation
Can be removed in seconds for servicing or storage
Fish Finder Applications of the Plastic In-Hull Mount Transducer
? Aluminum hulls less than 1/8"" thick
? Excellent Bass and Jet boat performance
? In-hull installation over solid fiberglass (not recommended for cored hulls)
? Excellent performance in shallow water boats
? Lake and inshore all-around saltwater fishing for small to mid-size outboard boats
? Boat Size: Up to 8 m (25?)
Simple! Convenient!! Adjustable!!!
The P79 style transducer is easy-to-install, accommodating hull deadrise angles up to 22?.
1. Mount the base flange inside the hull
2. Adjust the locking ring for the correct hull deadrise angle
3. Fill the base with non-toxic anti-freeze (propylene glycol)
4. Turn and lock the transducer into the base
Transducer kit comes with installation instructions?. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your boat.
