This 6-pin thru-hull mount sensor by Garmin is a low profile Airmar ST850 style sensor that lets you easily collect your vessel speed and the water temperature. This plastic thru-hull mount sensor uses a paddle wheel to determine vessel speed while the temperature sensor indicates the current water temperature. Speed and temperature information is collected and displayed on your fish finder display or sounder device. The Garmin speed and temperature sensor works on compatible Garmin sounders and fits any deadrise/transom angles.
The ST850 model is Airmar's standard, thru-hull speed sensor. Digital signal processing inside the housing provides speed and temperature data to a chart plotter, radar screen, or digital display in either analog or NMEA 2000? formats. This low-profile unit is nearly flush and minimizes drag with only 5 mm (3/16"") extending outside of the vessel's hull.
